The Joe Mauer Fan Club began in March 2004. It began with a small website and a Yahoo! sports Group called joemauerfanclub. The Yahoo group allows us to share pictures calendar events, postings, live chat and much more. You can read and post messages without joining but the other features require a valid e-mail address to join. http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/joemauerfanclub/
During the 2004 Season the JMFC gained around 40 combined members from online contacts and those I met at the games. On Saturday May 14th, 2005 Joe signed the Joe Mauer Fan Club member certificate. The certificate is given to all members of the club and must also be signed by the Club President to be valid. By signing the member certificate Joe also gave us recognition and endorsement of the Joe Mauer Fan Club.
Please take a moment to read the Objectives and rules listed below if you are considering joining us. We welcome all ages and support diversity within our club. Club gatherings and events may require minors to be accompanied by an adult. All members are encouraged to attend Twins games and public appearances by Joe Mauer when possible to show support of Joe and the Minnesota Twins.
Objectives: 1) Support Joe in his MLB career. 2) Share stories, facts, trivia and photos of Joe. 3) Make new friends who share a common interest in baseball and the Minnesota Twins . 4) Attend Twins games, special events, appearances and as a group, become visible in support of Joe.

Included may be a recap of the previous days game, box scores, winning pitcher, preview of next game, broadcast information & more. Milestones:
March 4, 2004: Joe Mauer Fan Club started with a modest website. Yahoo Group also created.
March 4, 2005: New website created. Averaged nearly 400 hits per month in 1st four months.
May 14, 2005: Joe signed the Joe Mauer Fan Club member certificate making us official.
August 8, 2005: 100th member joined the Yahoo Group Joe Mauer Fan Club.
August 18, 2005: The new Banner is here!! Now we'll be visible at the games. See above or PDF
December 28, 2005: Website takes it's 10,000th hit!
February 23, 2006: Website records it's 12,000th hit in less than a year since launch on 3/4/05.
August 26, 2006: The JMFC makes it's first senior center visit at the Regents in Burnsville.
August 28, 2006: Website records it's 25,000th hit since the season began on 3/4/05.
March 4, 2007: Celebrated the Fan Club's 3rd birthday. Site averaging 107 hits per day.
August 20, 2007: Our new logo was unveiled on the website. Created by Ben Peters of Minneapolis. See photos below.
August 31, 2007: Our new Banner will be unveiled in section 203 prior to the 1st game of the double header.
