This .28 cent stamp has been produced in a limited quantity of 100. Each Stamp is mounted on a 4x6 postcard and numbered from 1 to 100. The proceeds from this stamp will give the Joe Mauer fan club a presence on the Tradition Wall at the new stadium. There is also a glass plaque that will be given to Joe for his Birthday this April. First game: Molly 11 months old from Hudson Wisconsin in section 217 with her mom Kathy and dad Rob. Molly was wearing a pretty pink TC shirt!

Recap) Francisco Liriano was solid over seven innings, but he received little support, as the Twins totaled just six hits by six different players, five of them singles, in the 28th and final opener in the Metrodome.

(Recap) Alexi Casilla drilled a two-run single to cap a three-run ninth-inning comeback and gave the Twins their first victory of the regular season in dramatic fashion. Denard Span knocked two RBI singles, and Michael Cuddyer added a two-run single of his own to the winning mix.

Recap) Justin Morneau notched his first hit of the season, a two-run homer, in the first inning before Denard Span followed with a two-run homer in the second. Morneau and Jason Kubel came through with RBI doubles in the fifth off former teammate Carlos Silva.

(Recap) Glen Perkins controlled the Mariners after allowing a run in the first, giving up the lone run over eight frames. Unfortunately for the Twins, they couldn't get anything going against Seattle starter Jarrod Washburn as they settled for a series split.

First game: Ben 2, Sam 5 & Noah 8 from Omaha, Nebraska in section 212 with their mom Joanna and dad Jason.

Minnesota: 6 Runs, 13 Hits, 0 Errors.

Winning pitcher: Jason Frasor 1 and 0.

Losing pitcher: Luis Ayala 1 and 1.
(Recap) Jason Kubel's solo homer was the biggest blast for the Twins, but the club spread the offense around, as eight of its nine starters got hits. But a two-run homer allowed by Luis Ayala in the eighth inning broke a tie and sent the Twins to a loss.

Scott Baker was ineffective in his first start of the season back from injury. The Twins' ace was chased from the game after giving up four home runs in four innings. Philip Humber struggled as well in relief of Baker, giving up three runs on five hits in 1 2/3 innings of work.

Thursday April 16 Twins vs. Blue Jays 7:10 p.m. sponsor Ann #50
First game: Benjamin 3 from Greshan Oregon in section 215 with his mom Sarah, dad Chris, brother Beckham 5 months (1st game also), grandma Fern and grandpa Lee.

Minnesota: 2 Runs, 9 Hits, 1 Error.

Toronto: 9 Runs, 14 Hits, 0 Errors.

Winning pitcher: Roy Halladay 3 and 0.

Losing pitcher: Francisco Liriano 0 and 3.

(Recap)Francisco Liriano had a solid outing for the Twins, lasting six innings and giving up two run. However, Minnesota relievers ran into problems in the seventh, giving up seven runs, including two homers. Michael Cuddyer notched his first homer of the season in the eighth inning.

Hunter 10 months from Grand Forks ND in section 101 with his mom Kari, grandma Lynn and great grandma Clarine.  On 4/18 Hunters dad is coming home from the service!

Minnesota: 11 Runs, 13 Hits, 1 Error.

LA Angels: 9 Runs, 12 Hits, 1 Error.

Winning pitcher: Matt Guerrier 1 and 0.

Losing pitcher: Jason Bulger 0 and 1.

Joe Nathan picked up his second save.

(Recap) After the Angels walked Justin Morneau to load the bases and pitch to Jason Kubel in the eighth, Kubel made them paid dearly by hitting a no-doubt grand slam -- sealing a seven-run comeback frame and becoming the ninth Minnesota player to hit for the cycle in the franchise's history.

Landen 2 from Burnsville Minnesota in section 103 with his dad Mike and uncle Garrett.

Winning pitcher: Kevin Slowey 2 and 0.

(Recap)Jason Kubel, coming off a cycle the game before, came through with four more hits -- including a go-ahead two-run double in the Twins' five-run inning -- allowing Kevin Slowey to settle in for his best performance of the year. Slowey allowed two runs over seven innings for the win.

Henrick 15 months in section 115 from Andover Minnesota with his dad Tony, mom Nicole, grandma, grandpa and a host of others from the Mauer friends and family game.

Winning pitcher: Glen Perkins 1 and 1.

Losing pitcher: Shane Loux 0 and 1.

(Recap) Jose Morales drove in his first big league run with a two-out RBI single in the second. Morales later doubled and scored the go-ahead run in the fifth. Glen Perkins pitched eight innings for the third straight game, picking up his first victory.

Monday April 27 Twins vs. Rays 7:10 p.m. sponsor Anna #93
Riley 6 months in section 217 from Savage Minnesota with her mom Amanda, dad Jon and friend Kara. Riley was wearing a cute little Twins shirt and that little glove was almost a perfect fit!

Tampa Bay: 7 Runs, 9 Hits, 0 Errors.
Winning pitcher: Jeff Niemann 2 and 2.
Losing pitcher: Scott Baker 0 and 3.
(Recap) Scott Baker yielded four runs on six hits in six innings as the Twins fell to the Rays. Joe Crede hit a solo home run in the sixth inning, his first long ball at the Metrodome as a member of the Twins.

Jory 7 in section 221 from Brooklyn Center, MN with his mom Debbie, dad Patrick, brother Jacob 10 and sister Danielle 11.  It was the whole family's first game and what a game they saw!

Tampa Bay: 3 Runs, 9 Hits, 1 Error.

Winning pitcher: Joe Nathan 1 and 0.

Losing pitcher: J.P. Howell 0 and 2.

(Recap) Justin Morneau's walk-off RBI fielder's-choice grounder lifted the Twins to a win. Morneau drilled a two-run home run in the first inning. Francisco Liriano allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings.

Wednesday April 29 Twins vs. Rays 7:10 p.m. sponsor Joe #8
Sienna 3 in section 222 from Chaska, MN with her mom Kechi, dad Mike, sister Sophia, and brothers Matthew & Edric who sang the National anthem with his chool group from Chanhassen.

Tampa Bay: 3 Runs, 10 Hits, 2 Errors.

Winning pitcher: Nick Blackburn 2 and 1.

Losing pitcher: Scott Kazmir 3 and 2.
(Recap) The Twins batted around and scored four runs in the first inning en route to the victory. Brendan Harris and Justin Morneau each had three hits and one RBI. Nick Blackburn earned his second straight win.


Saturday May 2 Twins vs. Royals 6:10 p.m. Ron #345
Jackson 2 in section 205 from Brainerd, MN with his mom Katie, dad Tyler, cousin Brooklynn, aunt Brandi, aunt Maggie, uncle Tony, uncle Joe, grandpa Steve and grandma Kelly. I hope all the pictures turned out and that Bert circled you! GREAT signs!

Kansas City: 10 Runs, 15 Hits, 2 Errors.
Winning pitcher: Joakim Soria 1 and 0.
Losing pitcher: Craig Breslow 0 and 1.
(Recap) Glen Perkins had issues keeping the Royals off the scoreboard on Saturday, but the Twins' bats were hot, paced by Michael Cuddyer's solo shot and Delmon Young's two-run single. However, a pair of Minnesota relievers were unable to take control in the 11th, as Kansas City scored three in the frame to even the series.

(Recap) Scott Baker did not allow a hit through his first six innings of work. But in the seventh, he faced five batters, all of whom got hits, most notably Jose Guillen, who smacked a three-run homer. All five runners scored. Michael Cuddyer led the Twins with two hits and two RBIs.

Tijs 8 months in section 217 from Edina with his mom Karlijn, dad Jeroen and 2nd cousin Karin. That glove was just about the right size for Tijs' little hand!

Seattle: 0 Runs, 5 Hits, 2 Errors.
Winning pitcher: Scott Baker 1 and 4.
Losing pitcher:  Chris Jakubauskas 1 and 4.
(Recap) Minnesota opened its six-game homestand the right way, bashing four homers to back Scott Baker. Brendan Harris' three-run shot gave the Twins a five-run edge in the second, and Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau went deep in the fifth before Brian Buscher drove a three-run shot out.

(Recap) A day after slugging four home runs, the Twins turned the power back on, adding three more dingers. Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau went back-to-back for the second consecutive day and Michael Cuddyer hit a three-run blast to help make a winner of Francisco Liriano..

(Recap) The Twins were destined to reach .500 with a sweep of the Mariners today after Nick Blackburn tossed seven shutout innings, but the Minnesota bullpen was ineffective in Seattle's four-run eighth inning, ruining the right-hander's effort in the process.

David 2 in section 100 from Minneapolis, MN with his mom Krystin and friend Matt. Sorry to hear about the ball hitting your leg and hope it feels better soon.
Minnesota: 6 Runs, 8 Hits, 0 Errors.
Detroit: 2 Runs, 9 Hits, 1 Error.
Winning pitcher: Kevin Slowey (5-1)
Losing pitcher:  Armando Galarraga (3-3).
(Recap) Joe Mauer and Joe Crede hit two-run homers and Kevin Slowey consistently worked out of trouble as the Twins won the series opener over the Tigers. Crede, returning after missing three games, went deep in the second before Mauer added on in the third. Slowey allowed eight hits and walked two, but only gave up one run.
Wednesday May 13 Twins vs. Tigers 7:10 p.m. Bill Hinrichs
Max 1 in section 234 from Inver Grove Heights, MN with his mom Karen, dad Steve. It was Max's first birthday today! Happy Birthday!
Minnesota: 14 Runs, 17 Hits, 0 Errors.
Detroit: 10 Runs, 14 Hits, 1 Error.
Winning pitcher: Jesse Crain (2-1) 
Losing pitcher:  Brandon Lyon (1-3).
(Recap) The Twins followed up on Tuesday night's offensive burst with more of the same, and they needed it. Before Joe Crede ended the 13-inning affair with a walk-off grand slam, Justin Morneau belted a two-run homer early on and Jason Kubel tied the game with a two-run homer in the eighth that sent the game to extras.

Joe Nathan picked up his 6th save.
(Recap) Having already struck out 13 times against Justin Verlander in 6 1/3 innings, the Twins mounted an unlikely comeback to score six times in the seventh inning to complete the sweep. Joe Crede had two RBIs, while Jason Kubel had three hits.

Milwaukee: 3 Runs, 9 Hits, 1 Error.
Winning pitcher: Kevin Slowey (6-1).
Losing pitcher:  Manny Parra (3-5).
(Recap) Michael Cuddyer couldn't have had a better first taste of Interleague Play, ripping all four varieties of hits needed for a cycle to pace an 11-run onslaught that easily helped topple the Brewers. Kevin Slowey was solid over 7 1/3 frames, and Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer added a pair of RBIs apiece to the mix.
Saturday May 23 Twins vs. Brewers 6:10 p.m. Clyde #314
Hunter 5 from Wahpeton North Dakota.  Hunter was located in section 104 with his mom Jennifer, dad Travis, aunt Paula & uncle Nick

Winning pitcher: Anthony Swarzak (1-0).
Losing pitcher:  Braden Looper (4-3).
(Recap) Right-hander Anthony Swarzak became the first Twins pitcher to toss seven scoreless innings in his Major League debut, and Joe Crede and Joe Mauer both homered and drove in two runs to lead Minnesota to its third straight win.

Brennon 1 from Sleepy Eye, MN. Brennon was located in section 212 with his mom Heather, dad Josh, aunts Carmine & Caitlyn, uncle Jon, cousin Angelina, grandma Laurie and grandpa Dan.

(Recap) Joe Mauer ripped his 10th homer of the season in the first inning, and Justin Morneau put the game out of reach with a grand slam in the seventh to back Scott Baker's 8 1/3 strong innings as the Twins completed a sweep of the Brewers.

Boston: 6 Runs, 16 Hits, 1 Errors.
Winning pitcher: Brad Penny (5-1).
Losing pitcher:  Francisco Liriano (2-6).
(Recap) Joe Mauer entered with two outs in the ninth and delivered a pinch-hit two-run homer to cut Boston's lead to one. But Delmon Young, who fanned three times, flied out to end the game. Francisco Liriano put Minnesota in an early hole with four innings of five-run ball.
Wednesday May 27 Twins vs. Red Sox 7:10 p.m. Ron #345
Melissa age 11 from Brandon, MN in section 236 with her mom Julie and 43 other 5th & 6th graders from Brandon Public School.
Minnesota: 4 Runs, 13 Hits, 1 Error.
Boston: 2 Runs, 6 Hits, 1 Error.
Winning pitcher: Kevin Slowey (7-1).
Losing pitcher:  Daisuke Matsuzaka (0-3).
(Recap) Joe Nathan picked up his 8th save of the season.
Kevin Slowey turned in his fourth straight quality start and team-leading sixth this season, working out of a few jams to hold Boston to two runs in six innings. Speedy Denard Span led the support, tying a career high with four hits -- two of them infield singles -- while scoring a pair of runs and stealing a base.
Thursday May 28 Twins vs. Red Sox 12:10 p.m. Anna #93
Mara 7 months from Ham Lake Minnesota in section 216 with her mom Debbie, dad Jason, brothers Phillip & Peter and sisters Charlotte, Caroline & Hannah.

Boston: 3 Runs, 6 Hits, 0 Errors.
Winning pitcher: Josh Beckett (5-2).
Losing pitcher:  Anthony Swarzak (1-1).
(Recap) Making his presence felt after missing three games, Joe Crede blasted a solo homer in the second. But Anthony Swarzak, whose only blemishes came against Jason Varitek, wasn't provided enough support, and a questionable play at the plate gave the Red Sox an edge.

Winning pitcher: Glen Perkins (2-3).
Losing pitcher:  Paul Maholm (4-3).
(Recap) The Twins may not have used towering home runs and crowd-awing plays, but a slew of multihit nights and a little small ball were all Minnesota needed to emerge victorious in the opener. Joe Mauer led the way with four hits and two runs to support fresh-off-the-DL starter Glen Perkins, who tossed six innings of two-run ball.
Thursday June 18 Twins vs. Pirates 12:10 p.m. Regent of Burnsville
Bryant 7 months from Lake City Minnesota in section 223 with his mom Angela, dad Chris and sister Brooklyn
Minnesota: 5 Runs, 10 Hits, 0 Errors.
Pittsburgh: 1 Run, 6 Hits, 1 Error.
Winning pitcher: Nick Blackburn (6-2).
Losing pitcher:  Zach Duke (7-5).
(Recap) Nick Blackburn was magnificent, twirling his first career complete game to close out the Twins' series against the Bucs on a high note. While Blackburn starred in the matinee, the offense picked up where it left off after the series opener, as Michael Cuddyer and Brian Buscher each ripped a homer in the win.


Friday June 19 Twins vs. Astros 7:10 p.m. Dianna #279
Bryce 12, Brady 10, Aiden 8, Ashlyn 2 & Liam 5 months from Pheonix Arizona in section 207 with their mom Shannon.
Minnesota: 5 Runs, 10 Hits, 0 Errors.
Houston: 2 Runs, 5 Hits, 0 Errors.
Winning pitcher: Kevin Slowey (10-2).
Losing pitcher:  Roy Oswalt (3-4).
Joe Nathan picked up his 16th save.
(Recap) Kevin Slowey struck out six over six strong innings of one-run ball to notch his 10th victory, which tied him for the Major League lead. Nick Punto's perfect suicide squeeze in the fifth put the Twins ahead for good, and Delmon Young added a two-run double in the opening win.

Sunday June 21 Twins vs. Astros 1:10 p.m. Dorothy Campbell
Beckett 1 from Shakopee in section 216 with his mom Breanna, dad Brian, great aunt Josaphine, grandma Jan and grandpa Jim. I met Beckett and his family on the light rail on the way to the game. Beckett was wearing a Twins t-shirt and mom and dad put a tattoo & sideburns on him. That little glove was just about the right size for his little hand too!

Houston: 4 Runs, 11 Hits, 0 Errors.
Winning pitcher: Wandy Rodriguez (6 and 6).

(Recap) The Twins were unable to get a baserunner against Mark Buehrle until the sixth inning, but that seemed like ancient history as they tagged him for four runs in the seventh. In the end, Scott Baker bested Buehrle's effort, as he gave up just one run in six innings of work to earn the win.
